This is the reissue of the single disc version and does it ever sound fantastic! This, as you know, was pre-Nevermind, pre-Geffen records, pre-Unplugged, pre Alternative before "Alternative" became a marketing tool, and pre-Albini. Here is where it all started and you were probably in pre-school when it came out, or something like that. Stop in and pick it up or order it online from this site. Originally released in 1983, this really woke up not only the metal world, but the world of rock in general. It'll be like listening to it again for the very first time.

Infest the Rats Next - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

The second release in 2019 from King Gizzard!! From the few reviews we've read this is more metal than metal. How much more metal can it be? More metal!! Thrash!! Harry's House - Harry Styles

Harry's House is the third solo studio album from Grammy award-winning global superstar Harry Styles. The 13-track full-length album was recorded in multiple locations across the UK, Los Angeles, and Tokyo from 2020 to 2021. It was written by Harry alongside frequent collaborators Kid Harpoon, Tyler Johnson, and Mitch Rowland. Includes printed inner sleeve, postcard, and 12 page booklet.

Nimrod - Green Day

Label: Reprise Records

The fifth studio album from Green Day and was first released in 1997 and contains, arguably, their most well-known song, Good Riddance (Time of Your Life). Getting beyond their 3-chords and a cloud of dust approach, this is an album that features other instrumentation that wasn't on records like Dookie or Insomniac, things like strings, horns, and harmonicas. Also includes Hitchin' a Ride, Grouch, Redundant, Jinx, Uptight, and others. It's a 15 track record which was cut down from 30 tracks. Blue Slide Park - Mac Miller

Label: Rostrum Records

The 2011 debut from the late great Mac Miller. The title refers to an area of a park, Frick Park, in Pittsburgh, near to where Miller lived. Includes Frick Park Market, Party Avenue, Missed Calls, My Team, and others. Debuted on the Billboard charts at Number One and oddly enough has no guest appearances by any other artists.

I - Led Zeppelin

Label: Atlantic

The 1969 debut from Led Zeppelin that showed the world early on that they were not messing around. Most of us listened to these songs in the retrospect of years, if not decades, but can you imagine putting this record on in 1969 and hearing the likes of "Dazed and Confused", Communication Breakdown", and "Good Times, Bad Times". We're not talking about the Archies here, folks. The Hammer of the Gods, indeed. This is the reissue from 2014 and it sounds nothing short of fantastic. Find it in our new releases bin, since it is a reissue.

Badlands - Halsey

2015 release from Halsey! Includes New Americana, Drive, Roman Holiday, and others. ELLE says, "Halsey's brutally honest muisc will make you pay attention." A nice looking gatefold release, this particular version is on pink vinyl, which is subject to change, of course.

Fruitcake - Sabrina Carpenter

Label: Island Records

Just in time for the holidays or if it's the middle of summer (and it's like Christmas in July), it's never a bad time to pick up Sabrina Carpenter's Fruitcake recipe of holiday songs. Includes Nonsense Christmas, Buy Me Presents, Cindy Lou Who, and others. Six songs total so you'll finish the record before the actual fruitcake is finished baking!

All Born Screaming - St Vincent

*Very* Limited red colored vinyl. St. Vincent's first self-produced record, All Born Screaming, is Annie Clark at her most unfiltered. This St Vincent record is an invitation to test the limits of what is possible - and to then keep going. Brought to life with the aid of a highly curated dream lineup of friends - Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke - the album is an unadulterated expression of St. Vincent's singular vision. This is the suggested retail price being it on the limited presses red vinyl.

Revolver (Box Set) - The Beatles

HOLIDAY SEASON ALERT!! A great gift idea!! A very elaborate box set to celebrate the making of The Beatles landmark 1966 release, "Revolver". Fabulous packaging, this set includes Giles Martin (George Martin's son) remastered LPs of both the stereo and mono mixes. Also includes a double album of demos, outtakes, and rehearsal that really give you a "fly on the wall" listen of The Beatles process. The single "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" was not on "Revolver" but a 45rpm single is included here in both stereo and mono. These recent box sets highlighting Beatles records have included 100+ page books and "Revolver" is no exception. This book includes dozens of rare photos, a forward by Paul McCartney, notes from Kevin Howlett and Giles Martin, details on the cover art by Klauss Voorman, as well as detailed liner notes on each song. A steep price, yes, but if you're a Beatles fan or know a Beatles fan, this is a must-have. Plus, when the other *vinyl* box sets have sold out, typically they are gone and out of print.

Rocket to Russia - Ramones

Rocket to Russia is the third studio album by the American punk rock band The Ramones, and was released on November 4, 1977, through Sire Records. It's origins date back to the summer of 1977, when "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker" was released as a single. That summer was known as the peak of the punk rock genre since many punk bands were offered recording contracts. The album's recording began in August 1977, and the band had a considerably larger budget with Sire allowing them $25,000 and $30,000; much of this money went toward the album's production rather than recording.

Kids See Ghosts - Kids See Ghosts

Studio debut from Kid Cudi and Kanye West that was released in June of 2018. This seven song record includes Feel the Love, Fire, 4th Dimension (featuring Louis Prima) Cudi Montage. This release debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 200 upon its initial release. The cover art is by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Live at the Ryman Vol II - Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit

Live record documenting the powerhouse live presence of Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. Recorded in 2023 at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Isbell says this the 50th time they've played the Ryman. Includes Save the World, Strawberry Woman, Room at the Top, Dreamsicle, Middle of the Morning, and others.

Thom and Jonny from Radiohead are back at it as their alters The Smile. Great 2024 release and it's gonna be a hot ticket, literally, if they tour and this record itself will go quick. Get one before they go out of print! There's the indie version (which we have at this writing 10/8/24) but you know full well those will be gone soon as will the regular black vinyl release.

Bewitched the Goddess Edition - Laufey

2024 release "Bewitched the Goddess Edition" by Laufey. The hit performer of Pitchfork 2024 and also had a hot RSD release in 2024 as well! Includes Dreamer, Nocturne (Interlude), California and Me, Must Be Love and others. A fine looking thick box of an album cover it'll look great on your cube record shelves. 18 tracks that include 4 bonus songs and wait, that's not all! A booklet too!

The 5, 6, 7, 8's - The 5, 6, 7, 8's

Label: Third Man Records

Not only is this band big in Japan, they are from Japan! They are the 5, 6, 7, 8's, "three beautateous, leopard skin clad Set Kittens wilding enough HHHHOTTT, sultry steaminess to melt butter with just a look" - Russell O'Day. How's that for liner notes? Find more liner notes from O'Day on the back of this jacket and ever better music from the 5, 6, 7, 8's, songs like, "Harlem Nocturne", "Oriental Rock", "One Potato", "Scream", and "Handsome Man", to name a few. Ya gotta love what the Third Man Records label has done with the resurgence of vinyl. Of course, they are just part of the equation. You the record buyer are the biggest part! Find this, of course, in our New Vinyl rack at our new location (as of March 2014) on 9 S. Spring St.

Pinkerton - Weezer

Label: Geffen Records

The second release from Weezer and originally released in 1996. A cool little factoid says that Rivers Coumo wrote most of the songs between semesters while still at Harvard University. Produced by Weezer themselves (another cool Fun Fact is that The Cars Ric Ocasek produced their first record) this record includes El Scorcho, The Good Life, Pink Triangle, Falling For You, Getchoo, and others. "Pinkerton" didn't quite meet sales expectations the band or label had but was a critical success and has often been named as one of the best albums of the 1990s and even one of the best of all time.

Memoir of a Sparklemuffin - Suki Waterhouse

Label: Sub Pop Records

A great summary of Suki and this record via a bio from our distro, "Suki Waterhouse's music sounds like a collage of her inspirations, experiences, and emotions stitched together by honeyed vocal delivery, bright-eyed melodies, and evocative storytelling. It doubles as a mirror image of her life as a consummate creative, artist, actress, model, and mother, yet it also breaks the glass to unveil raw truth. She leans on an ever-evolving sonic palette to convey what she's feeling-whether it be folky Americana, nineties alternative, turn-of-the-century indie, or handcrafted otherworldly pop." 

Wild God - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds

A return for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds with this 2024 release "Wild God". Includes the title track, Frogs, Joy, Conversation, Cinnamon Horses, Long Dark Night, and others. Says Nick Cave himself, "Wild God... there's no f***ing around with this record. When it hits, it hits. It lifts you. It moves you. I love that about it."

Jubilee - Japanese Breakfast

Outstanding 2021 release from acclaimed author and artist, Michelle Zauner/Japanese Breakfast. Includes Paprika, Be Sweet, Sit, Tactics, and others. With the world opening up again in 2021, look for her on tour. According to a piece we read in Vox, she's looking forward to to touring and being around people again. Aren't we all.

Tigers Blood - Waxahatchee

As of this writing, it's the first quarter of the year 2024 and we may already have our Number One entry for the Top Record of 2024 with Katie Crutchfield and Waxahatchee. Includes Ice Cold, Right Back To It, Evil Spawn, and others. Look for her on tour or if you can't, check Katie's performance on Colbert with MJ Lenderman, Spencer Tweedy, and dudes from Twin Peaks as her band.

Nadie Sabe Lo Que V A Pasar Manana - Bad Bunny

Label: Rimas Records

Bad Bunny has not released too many of his records on vinyl and whey they were released, they became scarce in a hurry. Get this 2024 release before it becomes a rarity. Includes Fina, Hibiki, Seda, Baticano, Monoco, and several other one or two word song titles. The vinyl itself was pressed in Mexico.

Nightfall of Diamonds - Grateful Dead

Label: Rhino Records

Record Store Day exclusive from 2024 from the Grateful Dead! A 4-record set (7 sides) recorded live in 1989 at New Jersey's Meadowlands Arena. Tunes include Uncle John's Band, "Jam" (of course lol), Dark Star, Deal, Let It Grow, Playing in the Band, and others, which include the obligatory Dylan cover with Stuck Inside Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again. 

I Am/I Was - Noah Kahan

Lookout Low - Twin Peaks

If you're in the camp of "music just isn't the same anymore as it was back in the day", we say, one; congratulations you've become your parents, and two; turn over a few more stones and you'll find all kinds of great music in multiple genres. Get your lo-fi garage rock on with the Chicago combo, Twin Peaks! Included on this record is Dance Through It, Ferry Song, Under A Smile, Oh Mama, and others. Produced by the great Ethan Johns and was recorded at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales.
